Mia turns 1!
Mia just celebrated her first birthday this past weekend! We visited the park to get photos of her at this big, important age. She rocked it out in all of her vibrant, "girly" dresses and headband bows. The colors of her outfits really popped against the calm, beautiful trees and winding paths.

Garrett's senior session.
"Garrett? Garrett? GARRETT!" screamed his mom as soon as I pulled into the driveway. "MATT'S HERE, HURRY UP!"
Garrett's mom, who is also a friend of mine, seems to be doing a great job of making sure her son wants to go away to college to further his education. At least that's what it seemed like from the first 23 seconds of my arrival.
"C'MON GARRETT! MATT DOESN'T HAVE ALL DAY. LETS GOOOOOOOOO!"

Our recent cruise aboard the Caribbean Princess.
Let me start of by saying that this was my first cruise ever and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. It was amazing. On our trip, we visited the Eastern Caribbean aboard the Caribbean Princess during a 7-day voyage. We came back relaxed and refreshed with plenty of great stories to tell.
I want to do an unofficial "official" review of the cruise in a future post, so I'll leave this shirt segment with some beautiful images of the islands we visited. At the end of the post is a short and sweet, family video from our trip.

The sun sets on the St. Clair River.
I don't like to be cliché but here's a photo of a beautiful sunset over the St. Clair River during Nick and Kiley's wedding.
Taken with the Nikon D600 and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G lens.

Kiley and Nick's Wedding.
Details, details, details... Kiley and Nick's wedding was filled with them! It all started off with a boat ride to the location, which was a beautiful summer home on Lake St. Clair. Every inch of the island was pristine and decorated for the big celebration. The colors all flowed together from one end to the other- it was simply perfect. The weather stayed a pleasant 80° with a slight breeze and not a single drop of rain! When the guests arrived, the music started and so did the party. From the beginning to the end, it was a blast to be apart of such a unique, fun and intimate wedding.

Alyssa turns 4!
Alyssa was a professional when it came to posing for the camera. She had all the important smiles nailed down: the open smile, closed smile, easy smile, full-face smile, laughing smile, awkward smile and even the "Chandler Bing" smile! She helped make some awesome pictures and definitely earned the balloons by the end of the session.

Stefan and Gretchen.
It's widely known that rain on a wedding day means "good luck". So when the severe storm came on Sunday afternoon, 15 minutes before Stefan and Gretchen were to walk down the aisle of their outdoor wedding, Stefan and a group of guys quickly moved everything inside. Surprisingly, the ceremony started only a few minutes behind! The whole time, Gretchen and Stefan were calm and collected-something you wouldn't normally see from a bride and groom during a last-minute change of plans. But that's why these two are so perfect for each other. They rolled with the punches and still delivered an amazing ceremony for their guests.
