As of right now, Leah's favorite television show is Sophia the First. She's really into this "princess" stage. Most days she only wants to wear a dress and it must fall down to her toes or it's just not good enough. She walks around in high heels, with her head held up, butt sticking out, crown sitting on top, and a strut that only royalties are able to pull off.
If that wasn't bad enough, she also insists that we do every, little thing for her. When a toy falls out of arm's reach then she demands us to pick it up. If she wants to drink milk then we better have it in front of her within 2 seconds. If she wants a cookie then, well, she wants a cookie! She yells for us to leave the room when she goes potty yet shows everything when it's time to wash up in the bath. A persistent little thing that has a hard time taking "No." for an answer. She makes it challenging to be the parents we always thought we would be.
On February 25th she will be turning 3 and all the frustrating days and nights are fading memories. All I seem to remember are the good ones. What's so amazing is her mind- it is well beyond that of a 3 year-old. She's one of the smartest and most sensitive kids I know. She's incredibly adept at recognizing emotions and can react in a very mature way. I have no doubt that she will grow up to be a humanitarian of some kind. It's in her soul.
Here's a couple images of Princess Leah with my "new to me" Nikon D800.
