Lindsay and Travis' Wedding.

A rainy day turned into a beautiful, sunny afternoon as Lindsay and Travis walked down the aisle at Blossom Heath in St. Clair Shores, MI. The ceremony was packed full with people showing their love and support for an amazing couple. Travis and Lindsay are the kind that would give you the shirt off their back, so I really wasn't surprised to see so many there. I want to give a big thanks to Lindsay and Travis for giving me the opportunity to capture their wedding. It truly was memorable!

Ink Addict: Wear your skin.

Some good friends of mine from college asked me to join them for an Ink Addict photo shoot going on at The Bank in Mt. Clemens. It was a fun and unique experience... the positive energy buzzing around was palpable!

Unfortunately I could only stay for a short time, but I still managed to get some great shots...

...and some candid shots of friends and family supporting Ink Addict.

Brian and Erica's E-Session.

I finally have some photos posted from the engagement shoot I did last thursday with Brian and my cousin, Erica. They rocked it out and I can't wait to show them the rest of the photos.

Funny story from the shoot: On our way to the location, we stopped off to get gas and I picked up an energy drink. After a brief pitstop, we get back into the car and take off. It's 85 degrees, the sun is beating down and we have the air condition cranked in the car, so it's pretty-darn warm out. 10 minutes rolled by and I happened to look over at Brian and saw giant beads of sweat coming from his forehead like he just ate a habanero pepper. I couldn't believe it because I was starting to get chilly from the air conditioning. I was just about to ask if we could turn it down when all of the sudden, he looks at the dash and says "who turned the seat-heater on? I'm roasting!" We all busted out laughing as he turned it off. Erica never did admit or deny that she touched the controls when asked, but the evil grin and laugh gave her away.

Capej Family.

The temps were in the mid 60s, the sky was overcast, the humidity and wind were down, and Stoney Creek Metropark was in full-bloom. This was a really fun family to photograph, mostly because they all looked stunning and were very photogenic.

Here are some photos from the afternoon.

Matt & Amber's Album.

Matt and Amber's wedding album has arrived!

A beautiful velvet case is included with every album order. For an additional amount, you may opt for a carry case or display box.

The cover is blind embossed with their names and the material is carbon buckram. Both are optional and an extra charge.

This particular album size is 14x10 and features duo pages. This means that there are both digital and overlay pages mixed into the album for a modern look. It is Queensberry's signature product. All 4 page layouts (digital, overlay, pagemount and duo) are included with the price of every album.

At 32 pages thick, or 16 layouts big, it is approximately 1.5 inches tall.

The craftsmanship of this album is stunning. When you realize that each album is handmade, you really appreciate all the hard work that someone has poured into your album. It's also very heavy!

The title page is an option on all album layouts except digital. It features a misty overlay page with the bride and groom's name, the date, and the photography studio.

When the page is turned, the photo beneath is revealed. It's a beautiful and elegant way to begin your album.

The binding of Queensberry albums are among the best and strongest in the industry. The pages turn with ease the first time and lay completely flat when opened.

This is a great example of what a duo album is. The image on the right fully bleeds to the edges of the page (digital layout)while the images on the left are placed within mattes (overlay layout).

Another example showing the matted image to the left as the photo bleeds off the side of the page. The photo to the right extends past the page and onto the following page as one, giant, 28 inch layout. The design is really modern and timeless as it incorporates matted layouts for elegance and digital layouts for the twenty-first-century.

This is the kind of album you can expect with your photography package. It's both beautiful and will last years if taken proper care of. For more information on Queensberry albums or wedding photography, please send me an email.

Have a great afternoon!

Natural swimmer.

Our black lab, Rayla, is an amazing dog. When she was 6 months old, I took her swimming for the first time and didn't know what to expect. In fact, I thought I would have to go into the water with her so she wasn't scared. She sure surprised me when she leaped into the lake and began paddling like she's been doing it her whole life. It must be in her DNA, because she's so efficient and quick (and looks good while doing it).

Here are some photos from the past week during her play-date with Lewie.
